Overview

Jobscan has been associated with a UAE-based national airline for over three years. The client corporation is a full-service award-winning international carrier flying to over 60 countries.

This is an initiative by the airline to incorporate and increase the participation of Emiratis in various functional roles within the airline, with tight guidelines on the level of education, communication skills and leadership qualities. There was also a plan for grooming successful individuals into future managerial candidates, and to fulfil roles within administrative functions such as Finance, Revenue, Logistics and Airport Management.

The Jobscan team in Dubai and Abu Dhabi was able to propose candidates with the requisite qualifications, experience and skills sets by partnering with universities and alumni associations and by using social media campaigns to attract interested talent. In-house assessment centres were created to evaluate and appraise fresh graduates on personality, communication, team management and leadership skills. A shortlist of candidates for the interviews was also prepared, based on the expectations of the employer.

Results

A successful collaboration with the recruitment managers and talent acquisition team, led to the placement of over 250 Emirati personnel, as well as seamless on-boarding of the candidates, ensuring that the client was able to achieve their objective of hiring a required number of Emiratis to groom as future managers within the growing airline.
